Merry Christmas

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heavenly song?

Come to Bethlehem and see
Christ Whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.......................

punk / rocker chick at heart!!!

RISE AGAINST

.......is this the life that you lead,
or the life that's lead for you?
will you take the road that's been laid out before you?

GIVE IT ALL
there?s a reason why I sing,
I give it all! and its these reasons that belong to me......

SURIVE!

SWING LIFE AWAY

I'll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words

We live on front porches and swing life away
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave 'til the end..............

Learn to think like a New Yorker.....

So a Frenchman, an Englishman, and a New Yorker get captured by cannibals.
The Chief comes to them and says,
" The bad news is that now that we've caught you, we're going to kill you.
We will put you in a pot and cook you, eat you, and use your skins to build canoes.
The good news is that you get to choose how you die."

The Frenchman says, "I take ze sword." The chief gives him a sword, the Frenchmand cries "Vive la France!" and runs himself through.

The Englishman says, "A pistol for me, please." The chief hands him a gun, the Englishman points it at his head saying "God save the Queen!", and blows his brains out.

The New Yorker says "Gimme a fork." The chief is puzzled, but gives him a fork. The New Yorker takes the fork and starts jabbing himself all over -- the stomach, sides, chest, everywhere. There's blood gushing all over the place, it's horrible.

The chief is appalled and asks, "God almighty, what are you doing?"

The New Yorker sneers and says, "So much for your canoe, you stupid fuck!"

So much on my mind lately.
I'm not in a bad mood, but feeling a bit depressed, maybe a little angry too.
All my life I wanted to travel abroad, not as a tourist either. It's not that I don't love my own country, cause I do............. maybe I'll write about all that another time.
Right now this hurts ..... maybe it's the way it's worded.
I know being in New York now is still way better than where I was, and anytime I want to experience culture there's a neighborhood to visit ..... China, Italy, India, Mexico .... anywhere in the world I want to go, it's right here, I'm lucky in that sense.
But what has happened to the world?
The only contribution a person a can make in life is financial?
I don't like the label "unskilled" either ...... It's insulting!!
You need a million dollars or a masters degree to be a productive member of society?

So it looks like I will never be welcome in England. sure that's not the only other country in the world, but I always thought of her as our mother, I loved her.
I could go on to list everything that makes me wonderful but fuck it.
I would have been a most excellent and gracious guest ......

"Somebody who only reads newspapers and at best books of contemporary authors looks to me like an extremely near-sighted person who scorns eyeglasses.
He is completely dependent on the prejudices and fashions of his times, since he never gets to see or hear anything else.
And what a person thinks on his own without being stimulated by the thoughts and experiences of other people is even in the best case rather paltry and monotonous.
There are only a few enlightened people with a lucid mind and style and with good taste within a century.
What has been preserved of their work belongs among the most precious possessions of mankind.
We owe it to a few writers of antiquity (Plato, Aristotle, etc.)
that the people in the Middle Ages could slowly extricate themselves from the superstitions and ignorance that had darkened life for more than half a millennium.
Nothing is more needed to overcome the modernist's snobbishness."

(Albert Einstein, 1954)

It's always encouraging after coming to some conclusion on your own.... to actually find great minds who agree.
